J.F. Taylor, Inc. to Continue Technical and Engineering Services to AIR 4.11

April 2002

J.F. Taylor, Inc. (JFTI) was recently awarded a five-year $57.6 million contract to continue providing technical and engineering services to the Research and Engineering Department of NAWCAD. JFTI has supported AIR 4.11 and its predecessor organization since the company’s beginning in March, 1983.

JFTI’s work focuses on Navigation, Combat Identification, and Communications Test and Evaluation support, as well as support for Aircraft Integrated and Laboratory Test and Evaluation. JFTI engineers provide technical expertise for system concept, development, implementation, and integration; daily operations support; hardware and software integration and development; test preparation and planning, coordination and analysis, and modifications; along with Commercial Air Support.

“J.F. Taylor is very excited to have the opportunity to continue providing technical engineering support to the 4.11 Test and Evaluation community,” said John F. Taylor, Jr., Program Manager. “The flight test role that 4.11 plays in the Navy acquisition process is critical to the success of new and updated products reaching the fleet, in addition to support for these efforts.”

“Over the years,” Taylor continued, “we have found that the 4.11 work invariably presents our engineering staff with exciting engineering challenges and growth opportunities. We are very pleased that these opportunities and challenges will continue to be available to the company and our employees.”

This contract was competitively procured and will run through April, 2007 with work being performed locally. Subcontractors are ZAI/AMELEX; ARINC; Ausley Associates, Inc.; Booz, Allen & Hamilton, Inc.; DCS Corporation; System Planning Corporation; Titan Systems; and Veridian Engineering, Inc.
