J.F. Taylor, Inc. is proud to announce that the company has been recertified to the ISO 9001:2000 With Design, International Quality System Standard.  The company earned its original certification in August 2004.

The company’s quality management system was audited and certified by Smithers Quality Assessments Inc., a leading independent accredited registrar.

J.F. Taylor received its recertification several weeks after an intense audit of the Quality Management System at its two Lexington Park locations: the Main Office and its Engineering Annex.  A prime contractor on NAVAIR’s TSC II contract, JFTI manufactures flight simulators and components in Lexington Park and also maintains an Orlando office.

In addition to flight simulators, J.F. Taylor provides engineering and other professional services for U.S. military aviation programs.  Founded in 1983, the company’s core projects are in hardware and software systems, manufacturing of aircraft training and simulation devices, systems engineering, test support, and instrumentation of real-time data systems.

Vice President and Quality Management System Representative Mark Taylor added, “Receiving recertification that our quality management system complies with the ISO standard is an important milestone, but the improved quality of our products and services that results from having an effective, efficient system is far more important.”

Smithers is fully accredited both by the Dutch Council for Accreditation (RvA) and the Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB) and is a member of the Independent Association of Accredited Registrars.
