JFTI to be Cost Team Contractor with AIR 4.2

J.F. Taylor,
Inc. (JFTI) was notified today that the company has been
awarded a contract to provide cost estimating, analysis,
and earned value management support for NAVAIR. This
contract has a ceiling of $10 million and a period of performance
of five years.
JFTI’s engineers, cost analysts,
and project managers will work with Navy personnel on Integrated
Product Teams (IPTs) to evaluate and etimate costs for aircraft,
components and subsystems, missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles
(UAVs), ordnance, and support related items. This support
involves cost and data analyses or comparisons, independent
evaluations, case studies, and recommendations for these
products. Cost analysis services span all phases
of a product’s life cycle from concept exploration
through development to deployment and operational support.
“We have provided similar program
and financial management services to the U.S. Navy for about
10 years,” said
John Taylor, Sr., company President and founder. “However,
we have more than 20 years of experience with the technical
aspects of Naval Aviation systems and equipment, which is
particularly applicable to analyzing emerging systems and
determining their life cycle costs. We look forward
to working with AIR 4.2 under this contract.”
This contract was competitively
procured and will run through September 2008 with work
being performed locally.
