J.F. Taylor, Inc. Awarded Flight Simulation Support Contract

September  2004

The United States Navy has awarded J.F. Taylor, Inc. a $43 million contract to support their Flight Simulation training systems.

The five-year service contract will include analysis, design, development, fabrication, manufacture, installation, implementation, and testing of various flight simulators, as well as training and program management.

“This contract will allow J.F. Taylor to support a number of different customers over the next five years,” says David M. Lowe, Vice President and Program Manager.  “We have done similar work for Indian Head under a previous contract, and the Navy found that contract an expedient vehicle for upgrades or modifications to existing flight simulators and training equipment.”

Work for the cost-plus-fixed fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will be performed in Lexington Park, MD, and is expected to be completed by September 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured with Naval Sea Systems Command, Indian Head Division, as the contracting activity.
