J.F. Taylor, Inc. Receives
ISO 9001:2000 With Design Certification

August 2004

J.F. Taylor, Inc. (JFTI) is proud to announce that the company has been certified to the ISO 9001:2000 With Design, International Quality System Standard.

The company’s quality management system was audited and certified by Smithers Quality Assessments Inc., a leading independent accredited registrar.

JFTI received its certification two weeks after an intense audit of the Quality Management System at its two Lexington Park locations: the Main Office and its Engineering Annex. A prime contractor on NAVAIR’s TSC II contract, JFTI also maintains an Orlando office.

JFTI provides engineering and other professional services for U.S. military aviation programs. Founded in 1983, the company’s core projects are in hardware and software systems, manufacturing of aircraft training and simulation devices, systems engineering, test support, and instrumentation of real-time data systems.

“Receiving ISO 9001:2000 certification is a notable achievement,” said John F. Taylor, Sr., President. “But more importantly, it identifies the company to our customers as a reliable vendor of supplies and services. This will help us sustain our current customer base and attract new customers.”

“Even though achieving certification is an important milestone,” said Mark Taylor, Vice President and Quality Management System Representative, “it does not mark the completion of our quality process efforts. We developed our quality processes over the 21 years we have been in business, and we are continuing to improve their effectiveness and efficiency.”

Smithers is fully accredited both by the Dutch Council for Accreditation (RvA) and the Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB) and is a member of the Independent Association of Accredited Registrars.
