J.F. Taylor, Inc. Awarded Seaport-e Contract

Lexington Park, MD – J.F. Taylor, Inc. (JFTI) is one of a number of local contractors selected to support Naval Air Systems Command’s (NAVAIR’s) engineering, technical services, and research and development needs. The multiple award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract will run through April 2009, with the potential of two additional five-year award terms. This contracting initiative, called SeaPort-enhanced (SeaPort-e), is expected to consolidate and streamline the U.S. Navy’s contracting procedures.
JFTI and its 20 subcontractors were approved to provide technical support services to the U.S. Navy in all seven geographical zones across the country allowing us to bid and work tasks anywhere in the U.S. The work will include support services for all phases of weapon systems acquisition and life-cycle support including research & development support, prototyping, acquisition logistics, modeling, test & evaluation trails, and engineering support for the Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Air Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Strategic Systems Programs, and the United States Marine Corps.
