J.F. Taylor, Inc. Awarded Coveted TSC II Contract
October 2003
J.F. Taylor, Inc. is one of 13
contractors selected to participate in a $3 billion, eight-year
contract to support Naval Air Systems Command’s training
needs. Announced in August, the multiple award Training
Systems Contract II, Lot I, includes a full range of training
system design, development, production, test and evaluation,
modification, and support.
Twenty-one companies competed for a spot under this contract,
which includes a partial set-aside for small businesses;
J.F. Taylor, Inc. was one of four small businesses selected.
“We have been building simulation
and trainer systems since 1987,” says Mark Taylor,
Vice President. “We
have become recognized as a leading manufacturer and integrator
of high fidelity training systems. In the last five
years we have produced complex trainers and components for
the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps which are very successful. Simulated
trainers save our Government thousands of dollars daily over
training pilots and air crews in actual aircraft. We
look forward to working with NAVAIR to help meet
the Fleet’s future training needs.”
